It does seem that our representatives in government, from city planners to national leaders, are reticent to bite the bullet. During this New Year's time of re-genesis, I plead with them to change their vocabulary.
Abandon the words "study," "investigate, "monitor," "examine" and "evaluate." Replace them with "execute," "enact," "rectify" and "remedy," i.e., "git 'er done!"This is unlikely to happen, however, as long as legislators only are held accountable to their campaign donors. Ultimately, we'll need term limits for all in the legislative branch to ensure that their votes are given without regard to personal gain or legacy.I'm sure that a call for term limits will generate much "examination" and "evaluation."-- Winston Barney,Fort WorthHave more to add?
