Following the (il)logic of those who want the Legislature to leave abortion decisions to a woman and her doctor and not mix religion and politics, would they not also advocate laws allowing drunks to drive, murderers to kill and discrimination to flourish? After all, are these not also religious (moral) issues?

Be reasonable! Common sense tells us that abortion is against a fundamental, human right: the right to life.
