Lewisville steps up patrols at park where jogger was sexually assaulted

Additional officers will be patrolling near a Lewisville park where a jogger was sexually assaulted by two men on Monday evening, Lewisville police said Thursday.

No one has been arrested in the case.

The 32-year-old woman told police that she was jogging about 7:30 p.m. Monday at L.L. Woods Park, 1000 block Arbour Way, when she was confronted by two men who had been hiding behind a tree.

The woman said she fought her attackers, but she was eventually knocked unconscious.

The men are described as white or Hispanic and in their late teens or early 20s.
