Man struck, killed on Haltom City roadway

A Tarrant County man killed Thursday morning after he was hit by a car in Haltom City has been identified as Dustin McCormack of Keller, the Tarrant County medical examiner's office reported on its website.

McCormack, 25, died at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth shortly after the accident.

An autopsy will be preformed.

The accident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday at Denton Highway and Broadway Avenue in Haltom City.

A 47-year-old woman was driving a Ford Fusion north on the highway when she hit McCormack, who was attempting to cross the highway, Haltom City police said.

Witnesses said the driver had a green light.

The man was taken to the Fort Worth hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No charges are expected to be filed against the driver, Haltom City police said.
