FORT WORTH -- A 61-year-old man was in jail Tuesday night, accused of killing a woman whose body was found Monday afternoon at an apartment complex on East Seminary Drive, authorities reported.

Albert Edward Beasley was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder and on an unrelated warrant for an alcohol offense, Mansfield jail records show. Bail was set at $250,000, according to the jail website.

Fort Worth officers were dispatched to the Southgate Manor complex about 5 p.m. Monday after a 911 call was received about a dead body, Officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, said in an email Tuesday night.

"Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment and observed a black female victim with apparent trauma," she wrote.

The woman had not been identified by late Tuesday.
