Arlington Bowie 41, Canyon 31: Arlington Bowie’s defense was dominant in a 41-31 win in the fifth-place game at the Mansfield Rotary Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Summit High School.
Bowie limited Canyon to just four points in the fourth quarter. Senior forward Ashley Ferguson led the Lady Vols with a game-high 17 points, scoring eight in the final quarter to help Bowie pull away.
Aledo 55, Springdale (Ark.) Har-Ber 51 (OT): Aledo got 19 points from senior guard Mallory Powell to outlast Har-Ber 55-51 in overtime in the seventh-place game at the Mansfield Rotary Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Summit High School.
Powell poured in eight points in the overtime period, scoring almost all of Aledo's 13 points in the extra time. Senior guard Caylee Wright led Har-Ber with 16 points.
