While I hope the loophole in buying guns with no background check at gun shows can be effective, maybe Fort Worth could consider replacing one or more of the scheduled gun shows of 2013 as a gun buyback program.

I know all about Texans' belief to have guns, but there just must be some reason and responsibility to who has access to the guns in your house.

If you can't stop buying guns and keeping them in your house, then take responsibility to keep them out of the hands of children, anyone who might have questionable reasons to want the gun or those who may not understand the consequences of gun use, which is often death.

Rights and freedom always come with responsibility and consequences.
