Fort Worth ISD Coca-Cola Tournament

At Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, Fort Worth

Teams to watch

Arlington Bowie: Jeremy Senglin isn't the only dominant presence for the Volunteers. This team is off to quick start.

Austin LBJ: The Jaguars, ranked No. 2 in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 4A rankings, roll in with one loss and four players averaging double figures.

Fort Worth Wyatt: Coach Rodney McFadden's team will try to rebound from a loss to Memphis (Tenn.) Mitchell in another showcase tournament.

Players to watch

Ethan Gilbert, Austin LBJ: The senior is averaging 13 points and five rebounds per game.

Jeremy Senglin, Arlington Bowie: Earned MVP honors in DFW Challenge matchup with Wichita Falls Hirschi.

Andrew Nunley, FW Wyatt: The shooting guard had 17 points in a loss to Memphis Mitchell.

Moritz Dealerships Holiday Classic

At Aledo High School

Teams to watch

Converse Judson: Ranked 12th in the TABC's Class 5A poll, this team has talent and is off to a strong start.

Hurst L.D. Bell: The Raiders have shaken off an early six-game losing streak and rebounded with quality wins over Grapevine and Haltom.

Mansfield: Playing better as of late with two losses this season by one point each.

Players to watch

Tanner Leissner, Converse Judson: Averaging almost 17 points per game, this 6-foot-6 junior is on the recruiting radar screen.

K.J. Malveau, Everman: Had 22 points in win over Aledo this season.

Whataburger Blue Boys Division

At Chisholm Trail High School

Teams to watch

Liberty Christian: Strong start to the season includes win over Justin Northwest, which is playing in the Orange Division.

Kennedale: Off to a great start this season with quality wins over Everman, Stephenville and Odessa.

Stephenville: Nothing like a state title in football and some additional players to get the Yellow Jackets off on the right foot in hoops this season.

Players to watch

Tyler Roelofs, Sanger: The 6-foot-1 junior is averaging 12 points and five rebounds per game.

Marquis Thomas, Princeton: A senior guard averaging 17.9 ppg and 4.1 assists

Tyus Savage, Clarksville: The junior post leads the team in scoring at 15.5 ppg.

Ty Charles, Kennedale: The 6-foot-4 junior leads the team in scoring at 16.2 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game.

Nolan Catholic Holiday Tournament

At Fort Worth Nolan Catholic High School

Teams to watch

Nolan: Off to an undefeated start, the Vikings will try to stay perfect in the home tournament.

Fort Worth Polytechnic: Had already beaten Dallas Parish Episcopal (also entered in the tournament) this season.

Players to watch

Michael Hoffman, Nolan Catholic: Earned MVP honors in the DFW Challenge in matchup with Euless Trinity's Myles Turner, headed to Lafayette.

Sam Allen, Fort Worth Polytechnic: Had 18 points in win over Fort Worth Southwest this season and nine against Dallas Parish Episcopal.

Girls

Mansfield Rotary Invitational

At Summit, Lake Ridge, Timberview and Mansfield High Schools

Teams to watch

Mansfield Timberview: Ranked No. 5 in the TABC Class 5A state poll, off to fast start this season with only two losses.

Cedar Hill: Three Division I recruits on this team.

Arlington Bowie: Close loss to Timberview early in the season, could be coming out party for TABC's No. 24 Class 5A team.

Players to watch

Jada Terry, Cedar Hill: Considered one of the top recruits in the state, signed with Texas A&M.

Sydnee Worlds, Mansfield: The senior is averaging 11.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Brittany Morgan, Canyon: Sharpshooter is emerging in Canyon's offense, the TABC's top-ranked Class 4A team.

Whataburger Blue Girls Division

At Saginaw High School

Teams to watch

Martin's Mill: This team is off to a blistering start with wins over Farmersville and Bishop Gorman.

Maypearl: Off to a big start and averaging 47.3 points per game.

Abilene Wylie: This team is off to balanced start scoring 48 points per game, with seven players averaging over four points per game, none more than 8.9 ppg.

Players to watch

Jaycee Fourkiller, Crandall: The senior forward is averaging 11.1 points per game

McKenzie Petty, Maypearl: The junior guard is averaging 15.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Kiley Laminack, Saginaw: Sophomore guard is averaging 16.1 ppg.

Boswell Holiday Girls Classic

At Saginaw Boswell High School

Teams to watch

Richland: Undefeated through the early part of the District 4-5A schedule, the Rebels are loaded at the posts and wear opponents down.

Hurst L.D. Bell: Bell's losses have come to Colleyville Heritage and Flower Mound by a total of six points.

Fort Worth Christian: Ranked No. 20 in the TABC Private school poll.

Players to watch

Destiny Nunley, Richland: The Harvard signee leads the team in scoring and can play inside and outside the lane.

Kaylee Shaw, Boswell: Coming off injury and still averaging 10 points per game.

Tralyn Woods, Trophy Club Nelson: The junior point guard is averaging 13.5 points per game.

Sandra Meadows Classic

At Duncanville High School

Teams to watch

Duncanville: The state's top-ranked team is looking for back-to-back state titles after winning the 2011-12 5A championship.

Plano West: Perhaps the most dynamic team in the event, West will have a tough road and potential matchups with Beaumont Ozen,

the Australian National team and Alabama Murphy.

Colleyville Heritage: Tarrant County's strongest chance at advancing deep into the tournament, the Lady Panthers started off well this season.

Players to watch

Nekia Jones, Beaumont Ozen: One of the top recruits in the country, the 5-foot-11 guard is headed to Texas.

Autumn Williams, Kennedale: The 5-9 guard is averaging 20.3 points per game. The Lady Wildcats face Euless Trinity in Round 1.

Brianna Luton, Houston Westside: The 5-foot-7 guard is averaging 10 points per game, with game highs this season of 21 and 19 points.

Victoria Kemokai, Fort Bend Bush: Only 5-foot-2, she leads the team in scoring at 15 points per game.

Nolan Catholic Girls Holiday Tournament

At Nolan Catholic High School

Teams to watch

Everman: Wins over Justin Northwest and Arlington Heights make this team a formidable contender for tournament champion.

Fort Worth Paschal: The Panthers have had lopsided wins and losses this season, but have the firepower to make a run here.

Players to watch

Mary Hulcher, Fort Worth Nolan Catholic: Had 19 points along with Sadie Mahnesmith in a win over Fort Worth Southwest Christian.

Brooklyn Dauenhauer, Springtown: The sophomore is averaging 18 points per game.
