h Cheers: To the father/son team at Lowe's on Nov. 23 for chasing a loose shopping cart that was headed for a collision with anything in the way. It was caught and the son took it back into the store where it could do no harm. A young man raised well.

-- Jerry and Avis Sorenson,

North Richland Hills

i Jeers: To the Texas Rangers for getting rid of their best all-around player, Michael Young. They don't bunt when they should, and they moved their best closer to a starting role and now this. As a former coach, I just don't understand it.

-- Edward Lindsay, Fort Worth

hCheers: To the construction worker who helped an old man with a cane cross Pennsylvania Avenue at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth when it was dark outside. He made sure all the oncoming traffic stopped and that the gentleman made it to his car. What a good guy!

-- Elisa Gappa, Fort Worth
