Sleeping in class

I say the one who slept through government class is Susan Harper. [See: "Over the 'cliff'," Monday]

We are governed under a constitutional republic wherein we elect our representatives democratically. "Representative democracy" is the fantasy of Democrats when they win elections. In victory they declare majority rule and demand full surrender of the opposition party. When they lose elections, they fall back on protections afforded their minority under the Constitution and demand the proportional representation they deny to others when in power.

With amazingly omnipotent insight into the constituencies of those who adhere to core GOP values, Harper demands that these elected representatives adopt Mr. Obama's agenda. Unable to comprehend diversity of thought, she can only call those with whom she disagrees "idiots" and insult their reading comprehension. In words of few syllables, I ask her to please join us in driving off the cliff she helped create.
