I have no doubt that the hypocrisy of the conservative state legislators, along with our other elected officials, will become more and more apparent as they proceed through their 2013 legislative agenda.

A prime example: They cry out for pro-life when they mean only pro-birth. If they were true and honest advocates for pro-life, we would have the best education, healthcare and effective social services in this country. But no, their aim is to marginalize the majority of Texas' citizens with their ever-increasing intrusions into private life matters and efforts to further widen the gap between the ends of the economic spectrum while taking care of their own special interests.

If they were truly pro-life, the discussion would finally arrive on common ground.
