FORT WORTH _ A 21-year-old Fort Worth man was charged Wednesday with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of another man earlier this month.

Airel Santos is accused of shooting Dwain Plummer, 24, during an argument about drugs, police said.

Police sent to a shooting call in the 5100 block of Flamingo Road about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9, found Plummer dead inside an apartment. He had been shot in the chest.

Homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson said the investigation concluded that Plummer had been selling drugs from the apartment.

She said Santos had met the victim at the location when an argument ensued and Santos shot Plummer.

Santos was arrested Dec. 13 on a murder warrant. He was transferred Thursday from the Mansfield Jail to the Tarrant County jail. Bail is set at $300,000.

Plummer's brother, Deshunn Plummer, 20, was shot to death in November 2010 outside a Fort Worth duplex in what police have said started as a fistfight over drugs and gang activity and escalated into gunfire.

Two men were later arrested in that case. Iran Deon Harris, pled guilty to the reduced charge of deadly conduct and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Jozavier Zance Baker pled guilty to an unrelated gun charge and was sentenced to five years in prison.
