The way the season has gone for TCU, having a few more injuries seems about right.

That was the news coach Gary Patterson announced after the Horned Frogs' Tuesday practice at the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility.

Three more players suffered injuries, including two who will miss the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl against Michigan State on Dec. 29 in Tempe, Ariz.

The most important loss could be offensive lineman Eric Tausch, who hurt his back in a non-football related injury.

"I don't know if he'll play," Patterson said.

Tausch has started all 12 games this season, including 11 at left guard and one at right tackle. Freshman Joey Hunt would step in if Tausch were unable to play.

Freshmen Jordan Moore and Josh Carraway will miss the bowl game with knee injuries, Patterson said.

Moore moved from linebacker to fullback last week to help give the Frogs more rushing options. He slipped on his first handoff Thursday as his left knee appeared to give out, and he was helped off the field.

Patterson said there's nobody left to move in to Moore's spot. Laderice Sanders, who has been at fullback the entire season, remains the Frogs' lone fullback option.

Turkey donation

TCU players Waymon James, Stephen Bryant, Michael Thompson and Gerren Ballard helped deliver 352 turkeys to the Tarrant Area Food Bank on Tuesday. Every year, the Frogs have donated a turkey for every point they scored during the season.

Key stat

13 TCU football players will have their degrees when the Horned Frogs play Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Dec. 29.

Quotable

"The older guys do because they probably keep it in perspective and the younger guys, maybe so, but I think as a general rule they're just confused one way or the other." -- TCU coach Gary Patterson on whether players are more mentally focused in practice without classes to attend
