FORT WORTH — FORT WORTH -- A man who allegedly stabbed his 72-year-old mother this morning, then refused to come out of his house for several hours, has been taken into custody, police said.
The incident began shortly after 9:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of E. Berry St.According to police call details, the mother called 911, screaming that her mentally ill son was beating her and had stabbed her in the chest and back.The woman was taken to an area hospital and was in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, according to Officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.The suspect barricaded himself in the house.
