Denton police appealed for help Monday in identifying two armed men who robbed residents after they forced their way into an apartment near the Texas Woman's University campus last week.

Authorities released composite drawings of the men in hopes that someone could recognize the bandits.

The home invasion occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 300 block of Coronado Drive in Denton, just a few blocks north of the university.

Two victims told Denton police that the gunmen forced their way into the apartment and stole an undisclosed amount of money before leaving.

One suspect is described as an African-American in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and thin build. The other is an African-American in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, light complexion, light brown eyes, patchy beard and pock marks.

Police said the men are considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities recommended that anyone who comes in contact with them call 911 or Denton police at 940-349-7961.
