Nolan Catholic beats Addison Trinity on late FG

A

McCaleb Taylor connected on a 26-yard field goal with 4 seconds remaining to lift Nolan Catholic to a 48-45 victory over Addison Trinity Christian Academy as the Vikings captured their fourth TAPPS Division I state championship in the last five years. Taylor's field goal capped a 53-yard drive after TCA tied the game with 3:14 to play. TCA, which turned the ball over five times, had the chance to regain the lead for the first time since the first quarter, but Nolan lineman Roman Romero III blocked the extra-point kick to keep the game tied 45-45.

TCA opened the game with a pair of quick touchdowns, but Nolan came back with three straight touchdowns and clung to a 35-27 halftime lead.

Nolan quarterback Joseph Prud'homme threw for 201 yards and one touchdown and rushed for another 103 yards. Joe Montez scored two touchdowns for the Vikings.
