Start the trial already

I am sick and tired of justice being thwarted by the issue of facial hair. A man at Fort Hood is accused of killing13 people and wounding about 24 others. Families of the deceased still grieve, and the wounded bear the scars and the pain of their wounds.

The fact that the accused can escape a trial because of his religious belief that he must have a beard, while the military code requires him to be clean shaven is a travesty of justice.

I recommend that the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff issue a temporary moratorium on the military code and get this accused killer to trial, beard and all. The issue has been on high center far too long. Let's get it over with.
