You cannot wave the American flag or claim yourself to be an American, much less an American patriot, if you signed to secede from the USA. Start packing and leave.If Tejanos had suggested secession, tea partiers would tell us to go back to Mexico. Actually, we were already here before they came.We Americans, including Tejanos, have helped, served and fought long and hard, from the American Revolutionary War to the current Iraq and Afghanistan wars.Secessionists are slapping our American veterans in the face. Our veterans deserve respect because they were the ones who gave us our freedoms. America, love it and work toward solutions, or leave it. We need compromise and solutions.-- R. J.
