I just saw congressional members of both parties walk out of the Capitol building on their way home for the weekend, traveling of course on taxpayer money. This was Wednesday, and our country is facing a critical decision on budgetary issues that could well send us back into another recession.

They said they had "nothing to do" until a compromise is reached with congressional leaders. This is simply reprehensible. They are in total disregard of the welfare of their constituents and our country's welfare and standing in the world community.

Nothing to do? How about forming committees to work on points of discussion for the leaders to present to the other side? How about working on the many issues facing this Congress and see if they can improve themselves as the poorest-performing Congress in the history of this country. They wonder why their congressional approval stands at 18 percent?

Google the address of your elected representatives in Congress and tell them that, if they don't get off the dime and get this thing done, to not expect your vote in the next election.
