FORT WORTH _ A donkey in a pasture by a road was killed by someone shooting an arrow at the animal during the weekend, authorities said Tuesday.

It is the third donkey killed in such a manner in the area in far north Fort Worth since 2011, authorities said Tuesday.

No one has been arrested.

The donkey was found dead Sunday afternoon in a pasture in the 9600 block of Old Decatur Road near Saginaw. The pasture was in the same area where two other donkeys were found killed by arrows in October 2011.

About 15 donkeys remain on the property, the owner told KXAS Channel 5.

"What pleasure do you get? We see how friendly they are -- they come right up to you -- so what kind of sport is that? I don't get it at all," owner Karen Oney told KXAS/Channel 5.
