Nolan Catholic wins, advances to TAPPS football final

A

Nolan Catholic will be making its fifth straight trip to the TAPPS Division I state championship after pounding Austin St. Michael's 40-14 Saturday afternoon at Temple's Wildcat Stadium.

The Vikings (11-2) had three players _ Joseph Prud'homme, Luke Alves and Joe Montez _ cross the 100-yard rushing mark as they amassed 463 yards of total offense to wear out the Crusaders (12-1).

Nolan built a 30-14 lead at halftime and simply took control of the clock and the game for the victory.

Nolan will play Addison Trinity in the Division I title game next Saturday at 3 p.m. at Waco's Floyd Casey Stadium.
