A Fort Worth man died early Saturday after being thrown from a car that crashed into a concrete median in Arlington.
Jimmy Phimmalang, 25, died at 2:48 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.Arlington police said Phimmalang was a back-seat passenger. Another passenger was critically injured.Both were taken by ambulance to John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth, where Phimmalang later died.The driver and front-seat passenger were not seriously injured, police said.Police have identified the driver as Bruce C. Sirisakd, who was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated assault and intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.The crash occurred in the 1600 block of westbound Interstate 30, near Fielder Road.Investigators said the four men, all in their 20s, were in a 2004 Honda Civic when Sirisakd lost control of the vehicle, which struck the median and rolled.Sirisakd is being held in the Arlington Jail.
