Thank you, Bob Ray Sanders, for your wonderful Nov. 21column, "Thanksgiving Day means family and food, joy and pain."

It brought back Thanksgiving recollections of times at my mother's and grandmother's homes in Grandview many years ago: good food, happy times and good fellowship with family and friends, with no TV sets to distract and keep us from actually having a conversation with each other that ranged from the price earned for the cotton or pecan crops to the preaching skills of a visiting seminary professor.

Much fun, lots of laughs and great memories.
