A 35-year-old Grand Prairie man was killed and his 4-year-old stepdaughter slightly injured in a two-vehicle rollover crash in Grand Prairie Wednesday morning.

Keith Cleveland was driving south on Southwest Third Street near Dickey Road when he lost control of his 1991 Nissan Pathfinder, crossed the center stripe, and crashed into a northbound 2004 Hyundai shortly after 8 a.m., according to a news release from Sgt. Eric Hansen.

The Pathfinder rolled 2 1/2 times before stopping upside down. Cleveland was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The child, who was secured in a safety seat, was pulled out by passersbys. She was taken to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The driver of the Hyundai, 34-year-old Sheila Morris of Grand Prairie, was treated on the scene and released.

The fatal wreck, the city's 11th of the year, remains under investigation, police say.
