This morning had a definite chill in the air with some places seeing below freezing temperatures - but it won't last for long.
Places that saw below freezing temperatures included Alliance, Spinks and Arlington airports. In Denton, it got down to 27 degrees.By this afternoon, temperatures will climb into the mid-60s and the trend will continue for the rest of the week."It's going to be warmer today, warmer the next day and even warmer by Friday," said National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Harris.By this weekend, temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-70s and it could reach 80 for the start of December. It will also be windy with gusts as high as 25 mph on Saturday. But it will also remain dry. The next chance for rain isn't expected until next week."The only rain is way out there next Tuesday," Harris said. "Some of the forecast models say we might get half an inch, but it's really too far out yet to say what we might get. But we need about 20 of those types of rain events to get back to normal. I don't see us getting out of this drought anytime soon."Bill Hanna, (817) -390Twitter: @fwhannaHave more to add? News tip? Tell us
