One factor not considered in your recent editorial on secession is that many people who now reside in Texas consider themselves Americans first and Texans second.(See: "'Peaceful' secession would still cost us," Wednesday) In the event of a Texas departure from the Union, these people will be headed out of Texas, taking their skills, wealth and contributions with them. I am certainly one of those.
