ARLINGTON -- Police on Friday identified the man arrested after a fatal shooting Thanksgiving afternoon as Artis Leon Polk Jr.

Polk was in the Arlington Jail on Friday with bail set at $100,000. No other information was provided.

The name of the dead man had not been released by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office or police by late Friday.

The man was killed at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Ridings Place after he showed up to visit his ex-girlfriend and their children, police reported Thursday.

He and Polk argued, and after the ex-boyfriend left, Polk got a gun, followed him outside and shot him repeatedly.

Polk drove away but later returned and was arrested, police said.
