FORT WORTH -- About a dozen fire vehicles responded to a house fire near 28th Street on the city's north side Friday, but no one was injured.
Firefighters were still on the scene in the 2700 block of Rosen Avenue about 6:45 p.m., almost two hours after the initial calls about the fire, which sent smoke high above north Fort Worth. When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the back of two houses, but Lt. Johnny Stevens said the fire itself never made it inside the homes. "When we opened the door, we found smoke in the house," Stevens said. Two adults and two children were displaced by the fire and were being assisted by the Red Cross.Have more to add? News tip?
