FOX Sports Southwest announced Friday that Saturday’s UIL Class 5A Division I Region I area round football playoff game between nationally-ranked Coppell (11-0) and DeSoto (11-0) from Eagle Stadium in Allen did not reach the required sell-out for it to be televised live. FOX Sports Southwest will provide tape-delayed coverage on Saturday at midnight and also will replay the game on Sunday at 3 p.m. Roger Emrich (play-by-play), Travis Stewart (analyst) and Angela Hamann (sideline reporter) will call the game for FOX Sports Southwest. The matchup features the top two football programs in Dallas, who are also recognized in state and national rankings.
DeSoto is No. 3 nationally in USA Today’s Super 25. Coppell is ranked 14th nationally.
