Fort Worth second-grader wins state reading bee
FORT WORTH Sam Willey, a second-grader at Fort Worths Holy Family School, has won the 2012 Texas Reading Bee championship.
Other top finishers were Kennedy Stevens, East Fort Worth Montessori; Kavi Stevick, Fort Worths St. Andrews Catholic School; Cameron White, Joshua school district; and Kenna Clark, Granbury school district.
The event, sponsored by Score a Goal in the Classroom, was Nov. 17 at TCU.
