University of North Texas police issued an alert Wednesday after a male student reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted Tuesday evening.
The student said he was walking in the 300 block of Welch Street about 7 p.m. when a blue four-door car with a blue interior, possibly an older Nissan, pulled up.The occupants asked for directions, and the student said he willingly got into the car to direct them.The passenger pulled a knife, the student reported. His eyes were covered, and he was driven somewhere nearby where he was sexually assaulted before being freed on the campus's east side, police said.The driver was described as white, early 20s, 6 feet tall and muscular, with short brown hair and clean-shaven. He wore a blue T-shirt, torn blue jeans and brown boots.The passenger was Hispanic, early 20s, 5 feet 6, stocky, medium skin color, cleanshaven, with a dark faux hawk hairstyle. He wore an orange T-shirt, jeans and blue-and-white cheap tennis shoes.Anyone with information should call the UNT Criminal Investigations Division at 940-565-3006.
