Gov. Romney may be playing a dangerous game when he suggests that gifts to specific interest groups boosted President Obama's chances of winning the election. (See: "Romney says 'gifts' boosted rival," Nov. 15).

In each case, the "gift" was a government initiative. Was he suggesting that such initiatives are by nature suspect?

Also, drawing such a stark contrast between "haves" and "have-nots" promotes the sense of class division in our country at a time when people need to draw closer together, rather than pulling farther apart.

Do Gov. Romney and his supporters care about "We the people" or about "we the wealthy" and the "would-be wealthy"?
