A woman found fatally shot early Tuesday in her apartment was identified Wednesday as Sara Carbajal, 19.

Carbajal died of multiple gunshots, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reported. Her death was ruled a homicide.

A man identified as her estranged boyfriend was found dead in the apartment. His name had not been released Wednesday evening.

Investigators believe that the case is a murder-suicide.

Police went to the Indian Creek Apartments in the 2700 block of Medicine Pass about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday after getting calls from relatives who were worried that Carbajal had not picked up her child after work.

Officers saw blood outside the apartment and kicked open the door. They found Carbajal’s body in one room and the man’s in another, police said.
