The feral cat editorial was an important suggestion, but not insistent enough. There is a growing feral cat problem, especially in the Cultural District, that must be addressed. An enormous number of roaming cats is a serious public nuisance, endangering and affecting the natural balance.

There are only two solutions: Those cat lovers should take responsibility and ownership; or the city should round up feral cats and get rid of them.

We have good ordinances about pets. It is time to enforce them.
