A Grapevine woman faces driving while intoxicated and possession of dangerous drugs charges stemming from a weekend wreck where two North Richland Hills officers were injured when their vehicles were hit by another vehicle in a construction area on Northeast Loop 820.

The motorist was identified as Judith Dee Hodges, 27. She was in the North Richland Hills Detention Center in lieu of $2,000 bail.

Police arrested Hodges at the scene.

The wreck occurred about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes in the 1200 block of Northeast Loop 820 near the Hurst city limits.

Hodges' vehicle rear-ended one patrol car and clipped another patrol car, said North Richland Hills investigator Keith Bauman.

Sgt. Todd Hanson and Officer Oscar Saenz were taken to local hospitals, where they were treated and released a short time after the wreck.

Both officers were in marked police vehicles when they were hit, Bauman said Monday.

Emergency crews and police from North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Watauga and Hurst assisted at the scene.

Information on the type of drugs seized at the scene were not available on Monday.
