One man was shot to death and his cousin was in custody Sunday in Lewisville after a family disagreement ended in gunfire, Lewisville police said.
The victim was identified as Jacob Gutierrez, 26. He was found dead in a front yard at a Lewisville mobile home park.Shortly after the shooting, Carrollton police stopped a man in their city that matched the description of the gunman at the Lewisville mobile home park. He was taken back to Lewisville and identified as Humberto Martinez-Benitez, 56, of Lewisville.Martinez-Benitez is in the Lewisville Detention Center on suspicion of murder. Officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement also have a hold on the suspect, according to authorities.Lewisville police declined to release any information on a motive in the shooting, other than saying that it stemmed from a family disagreement.Gutierrez was found by Lewisville patrol at 1:11 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of North Cowan Avenue, at the Village North Mobile Home Park.
