Grapevine

Through Jan. 1 at the Gaylord Texan Resort, 1501 Gaylord Trail. Ice exhibits, 1.5 million pounds of snow, an eight-lane snow-tubing hill, a life-size gingerbread house and a 52-foot rotating Christmas tree. Ticket prices depend on age and the day of the week. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

Carol of Lights

7 p.m., Grapevine

The tree-lighting ceremony and illumination of downtown Grapevine, 325 Main St., will include live music and free kettle corn and cocoa.

Wednesday

Gift of Lights

5:30 p.m., Fort Worth

From Wednesday through Jan. 6, Texas Motor Speedway, at Texas 114 and Interstate 35W, will have 2 million LEDs and more than 600 holiday displays. 5:30-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 5:30-10 p.m. Friday-Sunday. The event will benefit Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth and the Tarrant Area Food Bank. $13 per vehicle on weekdays. $18 on weekends and holidays. $50 for season passes.

Friday

Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights

6 p.m., Fort Worth

The 30th annual parade, presented by Chase, will take more than 100 floats from Belknap Street to Commerce Street, around Ninth Street to Houston Street, and up to Weatherford Street. The theme is "The Wonder of it All!" The tree in Sundance Square will be turned on afterward.

Nov. 30

Hometown Holidays

5-9 p.m., Mansfield

A snow hill, children's activities, penguins from the Dallas Zoo, a tree lighting, fireworks and Santa at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St. Concessions available.

Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

4-8 p.m., Bedford

The free event will begin at the new library, 2424 Forest Ridge Drive, with holiday cookie decorating and a movie. Activities then move to the Old Bedford School, 2400 School Lane, with Christmas carols, stories, refreshments, and visits with Santa, who arrives at 6 p.m. Parking is at the library.

Holly Days at Keller Town Center

6-9 p.m., Keller

The event at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway will feature the Very Merry Light Parade, a tree lighting, Santa, a two-lane snow hill, gingerbread house decorating and live entertainment. Admission is a nonperishable food item.

Ring in the Holidays

6:30 p.m., Saginaw

Holiday music and performances by schoolchildren, a tree lighting and a visit by Santa. Saginaw Recreation Center, 633 W. McLeroy Blvd. Admission is a nonperishable food item.

Dec. 1

Holiday Lights Parade

6 p.m., Arlington

The parade will start at Main and Center streets, travel west on Main, south on West Street and east on Abram Street, and end at Abram and Mesquite streets. Handicapped parking will be available in the city lot. After the parade, the tree lighting will take place on the steps of City Hall. Photos with Santa at Levitt Pavilion at Founders Plaza, 100 W. Abram St.

Hometown Holidays Parade

2:30 p.m., Mansfield

The parade will begin at St. Jude Catholic Church on Dallas Street and go down Main Street before winding back to the church.

Christmas Parade

6 p.m., Burleson

The Rotary Club's Christmas Parade of Lights will begin at Kerr Middle School. The city's Christmas tree, at Johnson Avenue and Ellison Street, will be turned on by Santa at 6:30 p.m., followed by fireworks.

Christmas Parade of Lights

6:30 p.m., Euless

The parade, A Nutcracker Christmas, will begin at Midway Drive and Fuller-Wiser Road and end at Trinity High School.

Christmas on Broadway

3-6 p.m., Haltom City

A visit from Santa, train and carriage rides, bounce houses, a climbing wall, a petting zoo and live entertainment. Haltom Recreation Center, 4839 Broadway Ave.

Night of Holiday Magic

4-8 p.m., North Richland Hills

A tree lighting, a visit from Santa, music, minitrain rides ($1), fireworks and shopping. NRH {-2}O Family Water Park, 9001 Boulevard 26. Free parking at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus, across from NRH {-2}0. Admission is a new, unwrapped toy or canned food.

Dec. 4

Christmas Tree Lighting

5-9 p.m., Hurst

The tree-lighting ceremony, which includes a three-lane snow-tubing hill, fireworks, crafts, music and a visit from Santa, will be at the Hurst Conference Center, 1601 Campus Drive.

Tree Lighting

5:30-8 p.m., Kennedale

The tree lighting will be at Town Center Park in the government complex, 405 Municipal Drive. The high school band and drill team and choirs will perform and Santa (with reindeer) will be on hand.

Dec. 6

Parade of Lights

7 p.m., Grapevine

More than 100 lighted floats and marching bands on Main Street downtown.
