It was great seeing students learn the election process by holding a mock election. Photos in the Star-Telegram's Keller edition looked wonderful. Yet, the only candidates listed were from the Republican and Democratic parties. The Libertarian and Green parties were missing.

Children should be taught the complete election process, which includes third parties and independents, not that the choice is only between two political parties.
