I am one of the "50 percent of the American people [who] have proved they are stupid and gullible by re-electing President Barack Obama," as stated in a Nov. 10 letter (See: "Majority wrong").

I am still looking for credible evidence that our government is forcibly taking God from my life, undermining our Constitution, murdering innocent babies, betraying our allies and raiding Social Security and Medicare for Obamacare.

With family violence, child abuse and a perennial 50 percent divorce rate, I am wondering how gay marriage will possibly have any effect on our national morality.

An interesting point of view is that our current fiscal difficulties have been evolving over the last 30 years; but, surprisingly, the overwhelming vocal discontent has occurred in the last four years.

I am also one of those people who has taken care of my responsibilities (debt-free, military service, gainful employment) and have only missed one year (full-time college student on the GI Bill) of paying income taxes.

I agree God is in control, but I also expect that after we (the citizenry of the United States) have tried everything else we will come together and do the right things that will move our nation forward.
