What a waste of time, money and effort to do a political hatchet job on one of our distinguished military commanders.

It was reported that the FBI investigated Gen. Petraeus in his capacity as head of the CIA.

Folks, this was last summer! Yes, they found out about his sex life and did not find it necessary to report it to the public.

This is the same man we entrusted with 100,000 troops and sent to the far corners of the planet for our security. He has performed his duties as ordered in an exemplary fashion.

His private life, and in this case sex life, does not belong on the front page of the Star-Telegram.

I am not advocating adultery. But after two or three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, I might view things differently.
