Restoring American greatness

There was a time when people in America believed the road to prosperity was to work hard and honor God. We seem to have fallen off that foundation, and the price is our greatness.

When our heroes are people like Lady GaGa and LeBron James, instead of great thinkers, we have given away greatness.

Once, our heroes were people like Billy Graham, who celebrated his 94th birthday Nov. 7. Albert Einstein, another hero and the father of modern physics, came to America after fleeing Nazi Germany when he learned that his name was on Hitler's "not yet hanged" list.

At 18, I didn't know how government worked or who would be the best leader. Now, leaders are being chosen by people whose main concern is who will win Dancing With the Stars or what's wrong with the Cowboys.

We have to save this great nation with great people and great ideas.
