MANSFIELD -- Senior quarterback Brady Burke threw two first-half touchdowns to wide receiver Marchie Murdock, and Mansfield Legacy beat Mansfield Lake Ridge 49-21 on Friday in a District 15-4A game at Newsom Stadium.
Legacy (4-6, 2-5) was led by Burke, who threw for 125 yards on 6-of-11 passing. Murdock opened the scoring with a 39-yard touchdown reception on his team's opening drive. Murdock then ended the first-quarter scoring with a 32-yard touchdown reception.
Murdock ended the game with four receptions for 126 yards and three scores. Running back Kijana Amous scored three first-half touchdowns, as he rushed for 106 yards on 13 carries, all in the first half. Amous scored on runs of 2, 12, and 6 yards. Defensive back Michael Sanders had an interception and a fumble recovery.
Lake Ridge fell to 0-10, 0-7.
