Woman dies in wreck in southeast Fort Worth

FORT WORTH - A 46-year-old woman was killed in a one-vehicle wreck early Friday in southeast Fort Worth.

Byrd Willis was pronounced dead at 2:49 a.m., the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office reported.

Willis' was driving westbound in the 3700 block of Old Mansfield Road when her vehicle swerved onto a sidewalk, traveled about 66 feet and struck a rock pillar at the intersection with Glen Garden Drive, police said.

She died of blunt force trauma to the chest and her death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner reported.
