Running back Marcus Baisy rushed for 168 yards, including 150 in the first half, for Eastern Hills (4-6, 4-4 in District 5-4A).
Eastern Hills took a 20-0 halftime lead despite being penalized 12 times for 88 yards in the half. The Highlanders finished with 148 yards in penalties.
But Carter-Riverside (2-8, 2-6) had its own problems in the first half, fumbling the ball twice and throwing two interceptions.
Malik Johnson picked off two passes on the night and Dustin Rasco added another.
Following Rasco's interception two plays into the game, Baisy put Eastern Hills on the board with a 15-yard touchdown run. Eastern Hills scored again as time expired in the first quarter on Strahan's 5-yard touchdown run, which followed a 65-yard sprint by Baisy.
Strahan's 30-yard touchdown pass to Jonathan Williams in the closing seconds of the first half gave Eastern Hills its halftime lead.
Carter-Riverside's Vincent Luna threw for 130 yards, including 55 to Reggie Timms.
