FORT WORTH -- Two men who went to a Fort Worth apartment complex Wednesday night with plans to purchase a car they'd seen advertised on Craigslist were instead robbed, police said.

The robbery occurred about 9:30 p.m. at the Autumn Chase Apartments in the 3500 block of South Riverside Drive.

The two victims told police they had followed the suspects to the apartments to buy their car but that, once there, one of the suspects pulled a gun. The robbers took money and a cellphone from the victims before fleeing.

Police searched the area but no arrests had been made as of Thursday morning.

The robbery unit is investigating.
