Although unbelievable disaster scenes have flooded the television screen, the devastation on Staten Island with boats piled on each other as well as on the shore and the plight of the people made me sit up and take notice.

It seems to me, with this historic calamity, every state not affected, every person, community, church and anyone else should be contributing something. All government agencies are urgently trying to provide relief, but the devastation hinders every worker and covers such a wide swath that it can't be done quickly and everyone wants his need to be served first.

We never know when it will happen to us. What will you do for water, electricity, transportation, food if you are in this kind of situation.?
