What a fantastic job you did in your coverage of the Poly High School centennial. You captured the essence of this celebration for a school that holds so many special memories for the Polytechnic neighborhood and hope for the future as well.

As I left, many of the current students were positioned on the grand staircase serenading the former students with some great mariachi music, and it was a wonderful farewell to a great reunion. The words of the very last line of the Poly school song are these: "And when dame fortune smiles on me, dear school I'll give praise to thee."

And we did just that!
