An 11-year-old trick-or-treater was injured Wednesday when she was grazed by an SUV on Forest Park Boulevard in the Mistletoe Heights neighborhood, police reported.The girl was taken by ambulance to Cook Childrens Medical Center. Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, police Capt. Kevin Rodricks said.The girl was in the street about 8 p.m. near the intersection of Harrison Avenue when her leg was clipped by the bumper of a Toyota 4-Runner, Rodricks said. The driver stopped briefly, but then resumed driving to his home.Police obtained the vehicles license number and went to the drivers house. He told them that when he stopped, pedestrians waved at him and shouted at him to just get out of the way, Rodricks said.The driver took that as his cue to keep going, he said.The traffic investigation unit will take over the investigation to determine whether charges will be pursued.
