A $10,000 reward was renewed Wednesday in a 2010 fatal shooting of a postal worker who was walking his dog in an Arlington neighborhood, police said.
Oak Farms Dairy renewed the reward for information that would lead to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the killing of George Hawkins, 52. The reward will be active for six months.Hawkins was shot at about 8 a.m. on Oct. 26, 2010 as he walked his Shih Tzu, Jassmine, in the 2200 block of Elmwood Drive in Arlington.Investigators do not believe robbery was a motive and no viable witnesses have come forward in the past two years.Anyone with information should call Arlington homicide Det.
