h Cheers: To Comptroller Susan Combs for listing the skyrocketing debt being incurred by cities, school districts and counties. Also to Editorial Director Mike Norman of the Star-Telegram for his follow-up. With 23 overlapping governments in Fort Worth alone, maybe merging some would help slow down the borrowing, taxing and spending.

-- Jack O. Lewis, Haltom City

h Cheers: To the guests at Brio Tuscan Grille in Southlake who picked up our bill on Oct. 10. It warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes that kind people still exist. My husband and I have three children of our own plus our two nephews we care for as well.

-- Suzanne Rubio, North Richland Hills

hCheers: For all their hard work to Chrissie Stuntz Events; Chris Schad; Lisa Sims and Al Travis at Broadway Baptist Church; Kelly at Bridal Blooms; Jamie, Crème de la Crème; Laura Schrader, Hilton Hotel; InsideOut Band; and Braden Harris Photography for making Kendahl and John's wedding and reception a perfect day!

-- Robert and Deb Brown, Fort Worth
